Aristotelis ad Nicomachum filium de Moribus, quae ethica nominantur, libri X. Ioachimo Perionio interprete: per Nicolaum Grouchium correcti et emendati. Mit Holzschnitt-Titelvignette und Holzschnitt-Initialen. Paris, Matthaei Davidis, 1556. 275 S. Gr.-8°. Späterer Ldr. unter Verwendung des Original-Bezugs mit goldgepr. DVignette und Eckfleurons, späteres RSchild. (Original-Bezug fleckig und mit Fehlstellen.)

Alte Drucke, Bibeln, Klassische Autoren in den Originalsprachen – Übersetzung der Nikomachischen Ethik des französischen Benediktiners, Theologen und Philologen Joachim Périon (1499-1559), welche erstmals 1540 in Paris erschien. Hier in der Überarbeitung von Nicolas de Grouchy. - Vorsätze erneuert. Durchgehend wurmgängig (teils mit Textverlust) und etwas wasserrandig. Titelbl. mit teils hinterlegtem Wurmgängen, dort Textverlust händisch ergänzt. Letzte Bll. und hintere Vorsätze etwas stockfleckig. Breitrandiger Druck.

Prints before 1600, Bibles, Classics in Original Languages – With woodcut title vignette and woodcut initials. Later leather using the original cover with gilt vignette and corner fleurons, later spine label. (Original cover stained and with missing parts). - Translation of the Nicomachean Ethics by the French Benedictine, theologian and philologist Joachim Périon (1499-1559), first published in Paris in 1540. Here in the revision by Nicolas de Grouchy. - Endpapers renewed. Throughout worm-eaten (partly with loss of text) and somewhat waterstained. Title-page with wormholes partly backed, text loss there added by hand. Last few pages and rear endpapers somewhat foxed. Print with wide margins.
