We are an international auction house in Berlin with a focus on modern and contemporary art as well as rare books.
Founded in 1989 by Hans-Joachim Jeschke, our house organizes five internationally acclaimed auctions annually. We are a member of the Bundesverband deutscher Kunstversteigerer and the ILAB. For our work, we have been voted among the 250 Best Auction Houses Worldwide several times since 2013 by the American magazine Art + Auction.
The Modern and Contemporary Art Department is headed by art historian Gabriella Rochberg and specializes in objects from the 19th to the 21st century. Original works on paper, prints and multiples, paintings, modern photography, sculptures and sculptures. We do have a focus on artistic works from the German modernism of the 20th century and international postwar art. The department is also supported by art historian Anna Redeker as Acquisition Director.
The Department of Valuable Books, Prints and Photographs is headed by the historian and art historian Balázs Jádi and deals with works from various epochs, such as manuscripts, incunabula, old prints, autographs, geography and travel, natural sciences and the literature of the 16th to 19th centuries, as well as bibliophilia and press prints.
