Bidding before the auction and during the auction

In the auction business, there are six main ways to submit bids. You can either submit written pre-bids by letter, by fax or by email before the auction.

Before submitting your bids, you must read and accept the General Terms and Conditions of the auction house

You have various possibilities to participate in the auctions:

Bids before the auction

Pre-auction bids should be received no later than 2 hours before the auction starts. No guarantee for consideration can be given in the event of later receipt.

1. Pre-bidding by email or live bidding

You can send your bids in writing to info(@)jvv-berlin.de, stating the auction and lot number, your highest bid, your full address and telephone number.

2. Pre-bid by fax

You can send your bids in writing, stating the auction and lot number, your highest bid, your complete address and telephone number, to the fax number +49 30 226677 01 99.

3. Pre-bid by letter

You can send your bids in writing, stating the auction and lot number, your highest bid, your full address and telephone number, to the following address: Jeschke Jádi Auctions Berlin GmbH, Potsdamer Straße 16 14163 Berlin

4. Bidding in the auction room

If you wish to attend the auction in person in the auction room, you are cordially invited to do so. To register in good time, please come to the auction room approx. 30 minutes before your lot number is called. There you will receive your personal bidder number upon presentation of your identity card.

If you would like to be sure of a seat at our auctions, please make a reservation in good time.

5. Bidding by telephone

If you wish to participate in the auction by telephone, this is possible from a catalogue price of 500 Euros. If you wish to bid on several lots in the same auction, participation by telephone is possible from a catalogue price of 300 Euros per lot. In order to bid by telephone, you must register in writing in advance, indicating at best 2 different telephone numbers, which you should send to us no later than 2 hours before the auction starts. The auction house accepts no liability for telephone transmission errors during the auction.

6. Online live bidding

You are welcome to follow the auction live on your computer via the Internet using the technical infrastructure provided by our partners.

This requires prior registration, which should take place at least 1 hour before the auction starts.

For all bids, the auction house reserves the right to check the creditworthiness of the bidder before accepting the bid.

Premium and Tax

A surcharge of 28.95% incl. VAT will be added to your bid (differential taxation, VAT will not be shown).

For items subject to regular taxation, the buyer's premium is calculated from the hammer price plus 24.95% buyer's premium plus statutory VAT. (7% or 19%) on the total amount.
