Sehr selten, für uns zurzeit kein anderes Exemplar im Handel nachweisbar. - Erste Ausgabe. - Seltener Froschauer Druck mit Berichten in deutscher Übersetzung an Heinrich III., König von Frankreich, unter anderem die Hugenottenkriege betreffend. Der "Bericht an den Allerchristenlichsten König Heinrich den III. König in Frankreich und Polen" von 1575 ist eine Übersetzung zweier Mandate seines Majestäts aus dem Jahr 1574. Diese Mandate, datiert auf den 10. September und 13. Oktober 1574, thematisieren die Notwendigkeit des Friedens sowie die Weisheit und Maßhaltung, um diesen Frieden zu erreichen. Das Werk ist eine sprachlich sorgfältige Verdolmetschung aus dem Französischen ins Deutsche und richtet sich an den König. Es reflektiert die politischen Spannungen jener Zeit und betont die Dringlichkeit, Konflikte durch kluge und maßvolle Maßnahmen zu vermeiden, was angesichts der Religionskriege und inneren Unruhen in Frankreich von großer Bedeutung war. Teils etwas knapp beschnitten (vereinzelt mit minimalem Textverlust). - Ecken leicht bestossen, vorne im Bug angeplatzt, Stellenweise schwach fleckig. Fehlstelle auf Titel mit Japanpapier fachmännisch ergänzt (Text teils affektiert).

History – First edition. - Rare Froschauer print with reports in German translation to Henry III, King of France, concerning, among other things, the Huguenot Wars. The "Report to the Most Christian King Henry III, King of France and Poland" from 1575 is a translation of two mandates of His Majesty from 1574. These mandates, dated September 10 and October 13, 1574, address the necessity of peace and the wisdom and moderation required to achieve it. The work is a linguistically careful interpretation from French into German and is addressed to the king. It reflects the political tensions of the time and emphasizes the urgency of avoiding conflict through wise and moderate measures, which was of great importance in view of the religious wars and internal unrest in France. The work provides insight into the political concerns and diplomatic efforts of Henry III, who was both King of Poland and France and found himself in a highly complex political situation. It symbolizes the desire for stability and order in a turbulent era of European history. - Pages 3 (A3), 6 (A6), 11 (B3), and 14 (B6) are missing, as is almost always the last white page. Somewhat cropped in places (occasionally with minimal loss of text). - Corners slightly bumped, front cover chipped, slightly stained in places. Missing section on title page expertly repaired with Japanese paper.
