History – France. - First edition of the history of the revolution, which was later (1797-1803) continued under the title 'Histoire de la Revolution de France'. - 7 vols. With engraved frontispiece and woodcut head vignettes. Contemp. marbled half leather with gilt fillets, gilt stamped title to spine and spine gilt (rubbed, bumped, some joints chipped or cracking). - Frontispiece somewhat foxed and with backed in inner margin, 2 pp. with backed tear, slightly browned due to paper, some minor brownstaining, otherwise overall good.
