Geschichtswissenschaften – Gruppenporträt von Louis-Napoléon (Napoléon III.), dargestellt als Kind in der Mitte, älter rechts und als junger Erwachsener links, sein Onkel Napoléon I. legt seinen Arm um seine Schultern und zeigt mit der anderen Hand nach vorne. Das Werk dient als Allegorie für Vergangenheit, Gegenwart und Zukunft. Lithographiert von Rose-Joseph Lemercier nach René-louis De Moraine. - Blattrand umlaufend umgeschlagen, papierbedingt minimal gebräunt. Insgesamt wohlerhalten, das Kolorit frisch.

History – Original hand-coloured chromolithograph. Below the depiction with details on lithographer and publisher, as well as the title. Mounted on backing and framed under glass in gold-coloured frame. - Group portrait of Louis-Napoléon (Napoléon III), depicted as a child in the centre, older on the right and as a young adult on the left, his uncle Napoléon I with his arm around his shoulders and pointing forward with his other hand. The work serves as an allegory for the past, present and future. Lithographed by Rose-Joseph Lemercier after René-Louis De Moraine. - Leaf edges folded around, minimally browned due to paper. Overall well preserved, the colouring appearing fresh.
