Apotheose auf die Vermählung von Herzog Robert von Württemberg mit Maria Immakulata Erzherzogin von Österreich am 29. Oktober 1900 in Wien. Um 1900. Aquarell und Gouache teils weißgehöht auf Velin. 63,5 x 46,5 cm. Monogrammiert und datiert. Fest unter Passepartout mit halbrundem Abschluss montiert. Unter Glas gerahmt.

Gemälde, Zeichnungen u. Grafiken 16. bis 19. Jhd. – Mit Darstellung der beiden vermählten Herzog Robert von Württemberg und Maria Immakulata Erzherzogin von Österreich in ovalen Medaillons umgeben von auf Wolken schwebenden Putti, gesäumt von einem Fanfare blasenden Engel sowie Amor, unten mit den beiden Wappen der sich verbindenden Häuser, im Hintergrund der Stephansdom sowie die Karlskirche Wiens. - Robert von Württemberg war das vierte Kind des Herzogs Philipp von Württemberg und von dessen Gemahlin Marie Therese Erzherzogin von Österreich, Maria Immakulata entstammte dem Hause Habsburg und war Tochter des Erzherzogs Karl Salvator von Österreich-Toskana und seiner Gattin Maria Immaculata von Neapel-Sizilien. - Technikbedingt minimal gewellt, verso etw. stockfleckig (nur partiell durchschlagend), im Rand mit kl. Einstichlöchlein (diese recto nicht sichtbar). Insgesamt sehr gut. Darstellung in ausgesprochen feinzeichnerischer Qualität in leuchtend-frischem Kolorit.

Paintings, drawings and prints 16th to 19th century – Watercolour and gouache partly heightened with white on wove paper. Monogrammed and dated. Firmly mounted under mat with semi-circular border. Framed under glass. - Minimally wavy due to technique, somewhat foxed on verso (only partially showing through, small pinholes in margins (these not visible on the front). Overall very good. Depiction in exceptionally finely drawn quality in bright, fresh colouring.
