Lot 859 Friedrich Nietzsche. Rheinisches Museum für …

Rheinisches Museum für Philologie. Registerheft zu Band 1-24 der neuen Folge (1842-1869). Frankfurt, Sauerländer, 1871 (publiziert Ende Januar 1872). 175 S. HLwd. d. Zt. mit RTitel.

Nietzscheana - Sammlung Dite

Philosophie und Soziologie – Seltene erste Ausgabe. - Vgl.

Philosophy and Sociology – Rare first edition. - Schaberg 21 and pp. 49-50. - The index volume appeared probably shortly after The Birth of Tragedy (cf. Schaberg, p. 50 and note 60). Nietzsche prepared it with the assistance of his sister Elisabeth, and the work was long and laborious. According to Elisabeth Förster-Nietzsche, he spent a year and a half on the index to a philological journal. He did so only because he had promised his teacher Friedrich Ritschl to find someone to undertake the task. Finding no one else, he took it on himself. - Slightly browned. Old, invalid school stamp on verso of title.
