Moderne Literatur und Kunst – Eins von 180 Exemplaren, vom Künstler im Druckvermerk signiert. - Monod 6014 - J. Villon (d.i. Gaston Emile Duchamp) gehörte mit seinem jüngeren Bruder Marcel Duchamp, Juan Gris und Albert Gleizes ab 1912 der Künstlergruppe "Section d'Or" an und gilt als wichtiger Vertreter des Kubismus. - Buchkünstlerisches Meisterwerk über die harte Arbeit auf dem Land, die Natur, den Wechsel der Jahreszeiten und Tugenden wie Gerechtigkeit und Frieden. J. Villon übersetzte diese archaischen, naturverbundenen Themen in seine eigene kubistische Bildsprache. Die Motive zeichnen sich durch rhythmische Linienführung und geometrisches Gleichgewicht aus. - Schönes Exemplar.
