Sitzender Soldat mit Gewehr. Um 1916. Pinsel in Schwarz auf Velin, laviert. 31,8 x 24 cm. Auf der Unterlage verso mit Nachlassstempel. Punktuell auf Unterlage montiert und im Passepartout freigestellt. - In den Ecken mit kleinen Löchern ehemaliger Montierung, sowie minimalen Knickspuren und dezenten Flecken. Insgesamt sehr gut. Ausdrucksstarke Komposition.

Online - Moderne und zeitgenössische Kunst – Gering gibt hier als Zeitzeuge des Ersten Weltkriegs ein zeichnerisches Dokument von großem historischen Wert. Der Nürnberger Künstler studiert zunächst an der Kunstgewerbeschule in Nürnberg und anschließend in München an der Akademie der Bildenden Künste bei Carl Johann Becker-Gundahl. Während des Krieges wird er in den Militärdienst einberufen. Infolge dessen entstehen zahlreiche Zeichnungen, die den Alltag der Soldaten dokumentieren und die Begebenheiten an der Front dem Betrachtenden direkt vor Augen führen.
Online - Modern and Contemporary Art – Drawing in black on laid paper, washed. Verso with estate stamp. Partially mounted on backing and framed with a passe-partout. - Small holes in the corners from previous mounting, minimal creases and faint stains. Overall in very good condition. An expressive composition. - Gering provides here, as a contemporary witness to the First World War, a graphic document of great historical value. The Nuremberg artist initially studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Nuremberg and subsequently at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Munich under Carl Johann Becker-Gundahl. During the war, he was called up for military service. As a result, he produced numerous drawings documenting the daily lives of soldiers and bringing the events at the front directly before the viewer's eyes.
