Lot 454 Rebecca Horn. 3 Arbeiten. New York. 1997. …
3 Arbeiten. New York. 1997. Je C-Print auf Photopapier. Je 22 x 32 cm (42,2 x 50 cm). Je signiert und nummeriert. - Insgesamt sehr gut. Ausgezeichnete, farbsatte Abzüge.
Photographie - Moderne Photographie – Je eines von 60 Exemplaren. - Hg. Edition Schellmann, München/New York.
Modern Photography – Each C-print on photo paper. Each signed and numbered. - Overall in very good condition. Excellent, richly coloured prints. - Each one of 60 copies. - Published by Edition Schellmann, Munich/New York. - This work combines documentary photography with gestural painting and is thus characteristic of Horn's approach to various media: the image is not merely captured, but physically manipulated and thus transformed into a different state of being, the narrative-laden event is further intensified by this intervention. Rebecca Horn is best known for her kinetic installations and physical performances, in which she explores questions of the body, extension, desire and the mechanical. New York fits into this context as a more compact, painterly-photographic reflection on urban energy, movement and the superimposition of lived reality.
