17 Arbeiten. In: Wenn der Frühling kommt. 2007. Je digitaler Pigmentdruck auf semi-transparentem Papier, kaschiert auf Velin. Je von 13 x 10 bis 27,5 x 41 cm (50 x 40 cm). Im Impressum signiert und nummeriert. - Insgesamt sehr gut. Ausgezeichnete Drucke mit ruhiger, athmosphärischer Farbwirkung.
Zeitgenössische Kunst – Sellink/Simoens S.202f. - Je eines von 60 Exemplaren. - Hg.
Contemporary Art – Digital pigment prints on semi-transparent paper, mounted on handmade paper. Signed and numbered in the colophon. - In very good condition overall. Excellent prints with a subtle, atmospheric colour effect. - Sellink/Simoens S.202f. - One of 60 copies. - Published by Edition Schellmann, Munich/New York, to mark the exhibition of the same name at the Haus der Kunst, Munich, 2008. - The portfolio, whose design echoes the presentation style of the Nazi era, brings together 17 reproductions based on the artist's paintings. The images transform seemingly innocuous photographic sources into ghostly, more eerie versions of the original, thereby exploring notions of fading memory, power and its devastating consequences in the 20th century. The ironically menacing title of the portfolio deliberately contrasts with the gravity of the pictorial themes, a technique of alienation through banality typical of Tuymans.
