2 Arbeiten. o.T. (Die Beinprothesen des Künstlers). ca. 1997. Radierung auf grauem Velin sowie die dazugehörige Druckplatte. Je 22 x 18,5 cm (38 x 28 cm). Radierung signiert und nummeriert. Auf weißem Velin montiert. - Radierung oben rechts leicht angeschmutzt. Etwas wellig aufgrund der Kaschierung. Partiell minimale Oberflächenbereibung. Druckplatte mit eingeritztem Motiv und sichtbaren Arbeitsspuren. Insgesamt sehr gut. Ausgezeichneter, kräftiger Druck mit breitem Rand und klarer, kontrastreicher Wiedergabe.

ZERO – Eines von 4 Exemplaren. - Aus: Edition Manthei, Mönchengladbach. - Die Arbeit verbindet Radierung und originale Druckplatte zu einem seltenen Ensemble, das den Entstehungsprozess unmittelbar sichtbar macht. Die reduzierte, fast dokumentarische Motivik verweist auf körperliche Fragilität und biografische Spuren. Aufgrund einer Diabetes-Erkrankung verlor der Künstler beide Beine, was in dieser Werkgruppe in abstrahierter Form reflektiert wird.

ZERO – 2 works. Etching on grey wove paper as well as the corresponding printing plate. Etching signed and numbered. Mounted on white wove paper. - Etching slightly soiled in the upper right. Slightly wavy due to mounting. Partly with minimal surface abrasions. Printing plate with incised motif and visible working traces. Overall in very good condition. A splendid, strong impression with wide margins and clear, high-contrast rendering. - One of 4 copies. - From: Edition Manthei, Mönchengladbach.- The work combines the etching and the original printing plate into a rare ensemble that makes the creative process directly visible. The reduced, almost documentary imagery refers to bodily fragility and biographical traces. Due to a diabetes-related illness, the artist lost both legs, which is reflected in this body of work in an abstracted form.
