Lot 29 Herbert Zangs. Reihung vertikal. Um 1976. …
Reihung vertikal. Um 1976. Acryl auf Backpapier. 62,5 x 50 cm. Signiert. Verso mit Editionsstempel der Galerie Rottloff. - Partielle kleine Farbabplatzungen.
ZERO – Acrylic on wrapping paper. Signed. Verso with the edition stamp of Galerie Rottloff. - Minor scattered paint losses. Due to the impasto paint application, occasional fine craquelure. Upper right corner with subtle fold marks. Overall in very good condition. A splendid, harmoniously structured work with a clear formal composition. - Included: Certificate from Mrs. Müller-Jensen confirming the authenticity of the work, as well as the stamp of Galerie Rottloff, Karlsruhe, 2020. - Zangs is among the defining figures of post-war German art, whose practice is characterised by a consistent engagement with material, process, and reduction. He persistently explores the boundaries between painting, object, and trace, with the pictorial process itself increasingly becoming the actual subject of the work.
