Nachdenkende Frau. 1920. Lithographie auf festem Velin. 28,5 x 26,5 cm (39 x 31 cm). Im Stein signiert, von fremder Hand bezeichnet und nummeriert. Unter Passepartout montiert. - Papier altersbedingt leicht gebräunt, mit wenigen winzigen punktuellen Fleckchen. Insgesamt sehr gut. Ausgezeichneter, kreidiger Druck.

Klassische Moderne – Von dem Knesebeck 161e. - Eines von 100 Exemplaren. - Die vorliegende Lithographie zeigt eine Frau, deren Gesicht von der eigenen Hand verdeckt wird - ein Gestus der Verlorenheit und inneren Einkehr, der das Ouvre der Künstlerin motivisch durchzieht. Ein zeitgenössischer Freund und Publizist der Künstlerin, Arthur Bonus, bezeichnete das Werk bezeichnenderweise als "Verzweifelte" - ein Titel, der die emotionale Ambivalenz des Blattes treffend benennt.
