Overall in very good condition. Splendid work with an expressive character. - Verso with estate no.: 24 59. - Hermann Glöckner's early studies of heads and profiles from the 1940s and 1950s are among the rare expressive works within his oeuvre. With powerfully sweeping lines and a highly reduced formal language, Glöckner creates here striking portraits of great originality. This work documents this early phase of his career, in which the artist transforms the human figure into a freely rhythmic form.
