Plafond des Speß Saals, welches al fresco kan gemahlet werden. 1711. Kupferstich, koloriert, auf zwei Blatt Bütten. 49,2 x 52 cm (52,8 x 60,3 cm). Mit der gestochenen Schrift "Paulus Decker Archit: Inv: et. delin: / Cum Gratia et Privilegio Sac: Caesareae Majestatis / Jeremias Wolff excudit Augusta Vindel: / Geogr Conrad Bodenehr sclupebat, Aug: Vind:".
Architektur – Aus: Fürstlicher Baumeister, oder: Architectura civilis, Augsburg 1711. - Tafel 40. - Paul Decker, der als herausragender Architekt und Künstler des 18. Jhs. gilt, ist bekannt für seine prächtigen barocken Innenraumgestaltungen. Vorliegendes Blatt eines Plafondaufrisses in barocker Gestaltung zeugt von Opulenz und detailreicher Ästhetik. In meisterhafter Gestaltung gelingt es Decker, in eine Welt des Überflusses und der Eleganz zu entführen. Zusätzlich als Illustrator tätig, veröffentlichte er mehrere Bücher, die als Lehrwerke der Architektur und Künste dienen, darunter "Fürstlicher Baumeister", das detaillierte Entwürfe und Anleitungen für den Bau von Palästen enthält. - In Rändern leicht gebräunt, mit leichten Knickspuren, punktueller Braunfleck, vereinzelter kleiner Randeinriss, tls. leicht unfrisch, verso leicht unfrisch, vereinzelte Farbspuren, insgesamt gut. Ganz hervorragender, feinliniger und klarer Druck mit Rand.

With engraved writing. - From: Fürstlicher Baumeister, oder: Architectura civilis, Augsburg 1711. - Plate 40. - Paul Decker, regarded as an outstanding architect and artist of the 18th century, is renowned for his magnificent Baroque interior designs. This sheet, depicting a Baroque-style ceiling elevation, is a testament to opulence and a richly detailed aesthetic. Through his masterful design, Decker succeeds in transporting the viewer into a world of abundance and elegance. Also working as an illustrator, he published several books serving as textbooks on architecture and the arts, including 'Fürstlicher Baumeister' which contains detailed designs and instructions for the construction of palaces. - Slightly browned in margins, with slight crease mark,s isolated brown stain, isolated small marginal tear, partly slightly unfresh, verso slightly unfresh, isolated colour traces, all in all good. Very excellent, finely-drawn and clear impression with margin.
