Architektur – Erste Ausgabe. - Seltene Original Ausgabe von 1895 (so nicht im Handel). - Georg Gottfried Julius Dehio entwickelte die Konzeption der modernen Denkmalpflege, nach der auch Schäden und ein Verlust an Bausubstanz als authentischer Teil der Baugeschichte des Objekts begriffen werden müssen, sodass Rekonstruktion und Wiederaufbau nicht die einzigen Optionen darstellen. - In diesem Werk untersucht Dehio die Proportionen und Maßverhältnisse, die in der antiken Baukunst verwendet wurden, und analysiert deren Einfluss auf die mittelalterliche und Renaissance-Architektur. - Zum Teil mit Unterstreichungen in Bleistift, Exlibris, ansonsten gut erhaltenes Exemplar.

Architecture – First edition. - Rare first edition from 1895 (not currently available on the market). - Georg Gottfried Julius Dehio developed the concept of modern heritage conservation, according to which damage and loss of building fabric must also be understood as an authentic part of the building's history, meaning that reconstruction and restoration are not the only options. - In this work, Dehio examines the proportions and dimensional relationships used in ancient architecture and analyses their influence on medieval and Renaissance architecture. - Partially underlined in pencil, with an ex-libris, otherwise a well-preserved copy.
