OLn. mit goldgepr., DTit. in blindgepr. floraler Bordüre, diese eingefasst in goldgepr. Rahmen (Rücken fachkundig mit Ln. erneuert, Schnitt gering stockfleckig).

Schüsseln, Teeservices, Tabletts etc. - Vprsätze, Titelblatt, Textblätter und verzeinzelt auch Trägerkartons leicht stockfleckig, sonst wohlerhaltenes rares Dokument schweizerischer Silberschmiedekunst.
Science of Art – Exclusive catalog with price list for tableware from the Bernese goldsmiths and silversmiths Fries, strikingly illustrated with 27 original album photographs after drawings mounted in tinted frames on white backing boards. Bound in the original cloth with gilt cover title and blind-embossed decoration, spine renewed with cloth. - The first photograph shows the stately portal of the Bern shop of Heinrich Fries, successor to the famous goldsmith Rehfues (1808-68), which was integrated into the newly constructed building of the Swiss Federal Bank. The first 7 of the high-contrast photographs of detailed (pencil) drawings show include illustrations of commissioned articles, 20 further photographs depict various silverware, including bowls, tea services, trays, etc. - End papgers, title and text pages and a few backing boards are slightly foxed, otherwise a well-preserved, rare document of Swiss silversmithing.

A pickup of this work is possible in our premises at Potsdamer Str. 16, 14163 Berlin by appointment. If you wish a shipment of the work, please contact us for a consultation and shipping calculation. Framed tickets are shipped exclusively by a shipping company due to the risk of breakage. Postal shipping is only carried out at the express request and risk of the buyer.
