Aufwendiger Buchdeckel mit hochfiligraner Ornamentik mit einem zentralen Kreuz auf beiden Deckeln. Die Verzierung besteht aus durchbrochenen, gewundenen Ranken und floralen Motiven in einem dichten, symmetrischen Muster. Silber. 14,1 x 25,1 cm. Deutschland, Spätes 18./Frühes 19. Jahrhundert.

Einbände - Silbereinband

Buchwesen – Der Einband ist als Klappdeckel gearbeitet, mit massiven, geschwungenen Kanten und kleinen Anhängern oder Haken an den Ecken. Zentral prangt auf jedem Deckel ein großes, stilisiertes Kreuz, umgeben von ovalen Rahmen mit intensiver Blatt- und Blütenornamentik, die Oberfläche wirkt wie fein durchbrochenes Gitterwerk aus Silberdraht. Die Rückseite des Deckels zeigt ähnliche Motive mit zusätzlichen geschwungenen Bändern und Perlen-ähnlichen Punkten, was auf eine Repoussé- und Filigrantechnik hinweist.

The decoration consists of openwork, twisting tendrils and floral motifs arranged in a dense, symmetrical pattern. Silver. Germany, Late 18th /Early 19th century. The binding is designed as a clamshell cover, with solid, curved edges and small pendants or hooks at the corners. A large, stylized cross is prominently displayed in the center of each lid, surrounded by oval frames with intense leaf and flower ornamentation, the surface resembles a finely openwork lattice of silver wire. The reverse side of the lid features similar motifs with additional curved bands and pearl-like dots, indicating the use of repoussé and filigree techniques.
