Books on Books, History of Paper and Typography – Silver book cover - - An intricately crafted, filigree book cover featuring embossed reliefs and ornaments. Surrounding tendrils, flowers, cherubs, and musical motifs frame the scenes, typical of Baroque and Rococo silversmithing. Marked with silver and hallmark on both wings. 26 x 15.6 cm (when opened).
