Modellnummer 3120. - Sitzende Darstellung Christian Johann Heinrich Heines in kontemplierender Pose, den Blick zur Seite geneigt, ein Buch in der linken Hand haltend. Links mit einer antikisierenden Krater-Vase auf einem Sockel. Albert Dominique Rosé fertigt für die Wiener Manufaktur Goldscheider um die Jahrhundertwende zahlreiche Keramiken angesehener Persönlichkeiten. Unser Werk ist ein klassisches Beispiel für die historistische Monumentalkeramik der Wiener Moderne.

Paintings, drawings and prints 16th to 19th century – Polychrome patinated ceramic. Signed on the reverse, with the sculptor's mark 'Reproduction Réservée', and inscribed at the base. - A few minor chips and a crack in the vase's body. Overall in good condition. A magnificently modelled piece. - Produced for Friedrich Goldscheider, Vienna. Model number 3120. - Seated depiction of Christian Johann Heinrich Heine in a contemplative pose, gaze turned to the side, holding a book in his left hand. To the left, an antique-style krater vase on a pedestal. Around the turn of the century, Albert Dominique Rosé produced numerous ceramics depicting distinguished figures for the Viennese manufacturer Goldscheider. Our piece is a classic example of the historicist monumental ceramics of Viennese Modernism.
