Gemälde, Zeichnungen u. Grafiken 16. bis 19. Jhd. – Nach einem Portrait von Joseph Sonntag. - Fein ausgeführtes Portrait des preußichen Beamten August von Forckenbeck, der 1833 als bevollmächtigter Kommissar mit der Reorganisation des Freistaats Krakau betraut war. Das Blatt ist in der für die Zeit typischen Punktiertechnik ausgeführt, die eine differenzierte, nahezu malerische Modellierung der Gesichtszüge ermöglicht. - Mit leichten Anschmutzungen und einem Papiereinschluss im Rand, dieser retuschiert. Insgesamt gut. Hervorragender, nuancierter und strukturierter Druck mit breitem Rand.
Paintings, drawings and prints 16th to 19th century – Stipple engraving on laid paper. With a typographic title in the margin. With slight soiling and a paper inclusion in the margin, which has been retouched. Overall in good condition. An outstanding, nuanced and textured print with a wide margin. - A finely executed portrait of the Prussian official August von Forckenbeck, who was appointed as plenipotentiary commissioner in 1833 to oversee the reorganisation of the Free City of Kraków. The print is executed using the stippling technique typical of the period, which allows for a nuanced, almost painterly rendering of the facial features.
