Vue du Rütli au lac des quatre cantons. Ca. 1840. Gouache auf Velin. 27,7 x 40 cm. Betitelt und bezeichnet. Unter Glas gerahmt. - Materialbedingt leicht gewellt. Oberfläche punktuell dezent berieben. Vereinzelt minimale Braunflecken. Insgesamt ausgezeichnet, mit frischem Kolorit.
Landschaften - Schweiz
Gemälde, Zeichnungen u. Grafiken 16. bis 19. Jhd. – Die Ansicht gehört zu den populären Schweizer Veduten aus dem Verlag Bleuler, die im 19. Jahrhundert als repräsentative Reiseblätter verbreitet wurden. Dargestellt ist das Rütli am Vierwaldstättersee, jener historisch aufgeladene Ort, der als symbolischer Schauplatz des eidgenössischen Gründungsmythos gilt. Charakteristisch für Bleulers Werk ist die Verbindung topografischer Genauigkeit mit einer fein abgestimmten, malerisch wirkenden Kolorierung, die den landschaftlichen Reiz der Schweizer Alpenregion besonders hervorhebt. - Bleuler arbeitete in einer produktiven Veduten-Werkstatt in Schaffhausen, in der Ansichten der Schweiz gedruckt und anschließend mit Gouache koloriert wurden. Diese Landschaftsblätter wurden im 19. Jahrhundert als dekorative Reise- und Souvenirgrafik vertrieben.
Paintings, drawings and prints 16th to 19th century – Titled and inscribed. Framed under glass. - Slightly warped due to the material. Surface with occasional slight rubbing. Isolated minimal brown spots. Overall excellent condition with fresh colouring. - The view is one of the popular Swiss vedute published by Bleuler, which were distributed in the 19th century as representative travel sheets. It depicts the Rütli on Lake Lucerne, a historically significant place that is considered the symbolic setting of the Swiss founding myth. Bleuler's work is characterised by a combination of topographical accuracy and finely tuned, picturesque colouring that particularly emphasises the scenic charm of the Swiss Alpine region. - Bleuler worked in a productive veduta workshop in Schaffhausen, where views of Switzerland were printed and then coloured with gouache. These landscape prints were sold in the 19th century as decorative travel and souvenir graphics.
