Jhd. – Nach Edwin Thomas Dolby (1849-1865). - Die Lithografie zeigt eine weitläufige, detailreiche Panoramaansicht der Festungs- und Hafenanlage von Kronstadt (heute Kronstadt bei Sankt Petersburg) im 19. Jahrhundert. Kronstadt war eine der bedeutendsten Festungsanlagen Europas im 18.-19. Jahrhundert. - Papier gegilbt und leicht braunfleckig, mit dezenten vertikalen Knickspuren im Blatt und leichten Einrissen an den Rändern, verso mit Restaurationsspuren. Insgesamt gut. Hervorragender, nuancierter Druck mit Rand.

With engraved lettering containing the artist's and publisher's details in Italian at the bottom margin. - After Edwin Thomas Dolby (1849-1865). The lithograph depicts a sweeping, detailed panoramic view of the fortress and harbour complex of Kronstadt (now Kronstadt near Saint Petersburg) in the 19th century. Kronstadt was one of the most important fortifications in Europe in the 18th and 19th centuries. - Paper yellowed and with slight brown spots, with faint vertical creases in the sheet and slight tears at the edges, reverse side shows signs of restoration. Overall in good condition. Excellent, nuanced impression with margin.
