Jhd. – Lorenz NSk 7.1.20, Bd.3. - Ideenskizze von Otto Dix zum Motiv der "Drei Weiber", die in rasch geführten, suchenden Linien drei weibliche Körper in unterschiedlichen Haltungen zueinander in Beziehung setzt. Die fragmentarische Überlagerung der Figuren sowie die Reduktion auf konturierende Linien verdeutlicht Dix' Ambivalenz in seinen Darstellungen von Weiblichkeit zwischen sinnlicher Repräsentanz und distanzierter Beobachtung. Als Arbeitsblatt bestitz die Skizze einen besonderen dokumentarischen Wert für die Genese seiner figurativen Werke der 1920er Jahre. - Transparentpapier partiell zart knickspurig und gewellt. Insgesamt sehr gut.

Paintings, drawings and prints 16th to 19th century – Pencil on tracing paper. With a label written by someone else. The tracing paper is slightly creased and wavy in places. Overall in very good condition. - A preliminary sketch by Otto Dix on the motif of the 'Three Women', in which three female bodies in different postures are brought into relation with one another through rapidly drawn, exploratory lines. The fragmentary superimposition of the figures and their reduction to contour lines illustrate Dix's ambivalence in his depictions of femininity, oscillating between sensual representation and detached observation. As a working sketch, it holds particular documentary value for the genesis of his figurative works of the 1920s.
