Gehöft mit Pferden und Hühnern. Ca. 1920. Öl auf Leinwand. 60 x 80 cm. Signiert. - Punktuell dezentes Craquelé und leichter Abrieb an den Rändern. Insgesamt sehr gut, die Farben frisch.

Gemälde, Zeichnungen u. Grafiken 16. bis 19. Jhd. – Karl Valentin ist der Düsseldorfer Schule zuzuordnen und war Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts Schüler des Genremalers Wilhelm Schreuer. Unser Werk steht charakteristisch für seine Darstellungen rheinischer Dorfszenen und Landschaften in impressionistischer Malweise und pastosem Farbauftrag.

Paintings, drawings and prints 16th to 19th century – Oil on canvas. Signed. - Some subtle craquelure and slight wear at the edges. Overall in very good condition, the colours are fresh. - Karl Valentin is associated with the Düsseldorf School and was a student of the genre painter Wilhelm Schreuer in the early 20th century. This work is characteristic of his depictions of Rhineland village scenes and landscapes, executed in an Impressionist style with impasto brushwork.
