Frau in traditionellem Gewand mit Handspindel. Spätes 19. Jahrhundert. Öl auf Malkarton. 28,5 x 15,5 cm. Gerahmt. - Abrieb an den Rändern, oben links eine keine Einbohrung im Karton, gefirnist und eine kleine, restaurierte Stelle. Insgesamt sehr gut, Farben frisch.

Gemälde, Zeichnungen u. Grafiken 16. bis 19. Jhd. – Darstellung einer stehenden, weiblichen Figur in weißem Gewand mit Kopftuch, in den Händen eine Handspindel und Spinnrocken haltend, den Kopf geneigt und den Blick auf die rechte Hand gesenkt. Das Motiv der Genreszene, sowie der Pinselduktus und leicht pastose Farbauftrag lassen den Maler im Umkreis von Grigorescu verorten. Der Begründer der rumänischen modernen Malerei verarbeitete in seinen Werken Alltagsszenen seiner Heimat Rumänien.

Framed. - Abrasion on the edges, a small hole in the cardboard at the top left, varnished and a small, restored area at the bottom right. Overall very good, colours fresh. - Circle of Nicolae Ion Grigorescu (1838 - 1907). - Depiction of a standing female figure in a white robe with a headscarf, holding a hand spindle and distaff in her hands, her head bowed and her gaze lowered to her right hand. The motif of the genre scene, as well as the brushwork and slightly impasto application of paint, place the painter in the circle of Grigorescu. The founder of modern Romanian painting depicted everyday scenes from his homeland Romania in his works.
