Gemälde, Zeichnungen u. Grafiken 16. bis 19. Jhd. – Götzelmann studierte Malerei an der Kunstakademie in München und entwickelte bereits während seiner Ausbildung seine Vorliebe für Tierdarstellungen. Seine Faszination galt vor allem den Nutztieren von Bauern und stand in Verbindung mit der lokalen Fokussierung auf österreichische Regionen im Alpenvorland, die Götzelmann zum Thema seiner Bilder machte. So entstanden naturgetreue Darstellungen von Säugetieren, die den Mittelpunkt bildeten und umgeben waren von einer idyllischen, unberührten Landschaft und in Einklang mit den Menschen standen. Für diese personaltypischen Darstellungen erlangte Götzelmann große Berühmtheit, die sich weit über Österreich hinaus erstreckte. - An den Kanten vereinzelt mit leichtem Farbabrieb und -abplatzern als Spur der Rahmung. Mit Craquelé. Firnis etwas angegilbt. Unter UV keine Retuschen erkennbar. Insgesamt gut. Beschaulich-friedliche Szene, die Tiere und Mensch in großer Symbiose zeigt.

Framed in gold-coloured stucco with acanthus leaf decoration. -Slight colour abrasion and chipping in edges as traces of framing. With craquelure. Varnish a bit yellowed. No retouches visible under UV light. Overall good. Tranquil and peaceful scene showing animals and humans in great symbiosis. - Götzelmann studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and developed a fondness for depicting animals during his study. Götzelmann achieved great fame for these personalised depictions, focussing on animals in well mannered alpine landscaped, which extended far beyond Austria.
