Thienemann 586, 609, 610, 611, 616, 618, 620, 621, 623, 624, 634, 714, 715. - Blätter aus Johann Elias Ridingers Reitschul-Folgen mit Darstellungen verschiedener Lektionen der hohen Schule und des Caroussels, darunter Carriera, Passagieren, Changieren, Redop, Courbetten, Croupade, Balotaden und Capriolen. Die Folgen wurden nach Ridinger von verschiedenen Stechern umgesetzt, darunter Daniel Herz, Johann Balthasar Probst, Jeremias Wolff, Clouvet und Vostermans. Sie spiegeln das Interesse des 18. Jahrhunderts an höfischer Reitkunst, Dressur und der systematischen Beobachtung von Bewegung wider. - Gestochen v. a. von Johann Daniel Herz, vereinzelt auch von Johann Balthasar Probst. Leicht altersbedingte Verfärbungen. Vereinzelt braunfleckig. Stellenweise derzente Oberflächenbereibungen. Kleinere Bestoßungen an Ecken und Rändern. Insgesamt ausgezeichnete, detailreiche Arbeiten.
Paintings, drawings and prints 16th to 19th century – Copper engraving, marked in the plate. Some of them are mounted in the upper corners under a passe-partout. - Slight age-related discolouration. Occasional brown spots. Slight surface abrasions in places, minor knocks to corners and edges. Overall, splendid, detailed work. - Pages from Johann Elias Ridinger's "Riding School Series" depicting various exercises from the haute école and the carousel, including the carrera, passage, change of leg, redop, courbette, croupade, balotade and capriole. The series were adapted from Ridinger by various engravers, including Daniel Herz, Johann Balthasar Probst, Jeremias Wolff, Clouvet and Vostermans. They reflect the 18th-century interest in courtly horsemanship, dressage and the systematic observation of movement.
