Gemälde, Zeichnungen u. Grafiken 16. bis 19. Jhd. – Darstellungen von Hirschen gehören zu den zentralen Motiven im Werk Johann Elias Ridingers. Der Künstler, der zu den bedeutendsten Tierdarstellern des 18. Jahrhunderts zählt, widmete sich in zahlreichen Blättern der Beobachtung und Darstellung von Hochwild. Seine Darstellungen zeichnen sich durch eine präzise Naturbeobachtung und eine lebendige Wiedergabe von Haltung und Bewegung der Tiere aus. - Wkz.Thienemann 245, 249, 253, 255, 256, 259, 282, 293, 323, 335 - Beigabe: Lithographie von Th.A. Siegfried., nach J.E. Ridinger., 19.Jh. (Th. 243). - Drucke partiell altersbedingt gegilbt. Ränder mit Gebrauchsspuren, vereinzelt mit kleinen Einrissen in den Rändern und bestoßenen Ecken. Ein Blatt mit Fehlstellen in den unteren Ecken links und rechts. Oberfläche stellenweise berieben. Verso teilweise mit Spuren früherer Montierung. Ausgezeichnete, Drucke in filigraner Ausführung.

Marked on the plate. - Depictions of deer are among the central motifs in the work of Johann Elias Ridinger. The artist, who is one of the most important animal artists of the 18th century, devoted numerous sheets to the observation and depiction of big game. His depictions are characterised by precise observation of nature and a lively reproduction of the animals' posture and movement. - Prints partially yellowed due to age. Edges with signs of wear, occasional small tears in the edges and bumped corners. One sheet with missing areas in the lower left and right corners. Surface rubbed in places.
