Der Künstler, der zu den bedeutendsten Tierdarstellern des 18. Jahrhunderts zählt, widmete sich in zahlreichen Blättern der Beobachtung und Darstellung von Hochwild. Seine Darstellungen zeichnen sich durch eine präzise Naturbeobachtung und eine lebendige Wiedergabe von Haltung und Bewegung der Tiere aus. - Wkz.Thienemann 245, 249, 253, 255, 256, 259, 282, 293, 323, 335 - Beigabe: Lithographie von Th.A. The artist, who is one of the most important animal artists of the 18th century, devoted numerous sheets to the observation and depiction of big game. His depictions are characterised by precise observation of nature and a lively reproduction of the animals' posture and movement. - Prints partially yellowed due to age. Edges with signs of wear, occasional small tears in the edges and bumped corners. One sheet with missing areas in the lower left and right corners. Surface rubbed in places.
