Photographie - Photographen – Seltene Sammlung mit teils frühen Aufnahmen der Lufftfahrt in Deutschland.Enthält seltene Aufnahmen aus der Pionierzeit der Luftfahrt, darunter ein Auto-Giro-Flugzeug mit Siemens-Motor SH 1 sowie das weltrekordhaltende Flugboot Dornier Do X mit seiner Besatzung von Engel, Gundermann, Stein, Rosel . Dokumentiert werden außerdem außergewöhnliche und heute kaum noch bekannte Flugzeugtypen wie die asymmetrische Blohm & Voß BV 141, die Miller M1, die Junkers 86 und die "Ente", Condor Syndikat mit Junkers Flugezug in Rio de Janiero oder die Fokker F XXXVI. Ergänzt wird der Band durch Aufnahmen von Segelflugzeugen der Firma Slingsby Sailplanes und Porträts bedeutender Piloten und Luftfahrtpionieren. Aufnahmen von u.a. Wolf Hirth, Werner Roennecke und John W. Underwood. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die seltenen historischen Fotografien des Flughafens Berlin-Tempelhof (teils in Luftaufnahmen) aus den Jahren 1925/1926, die eindrucksvoll die frühe Entwicklung dieses bedeutenden Luftverkehrsknotens zeigen. Dabei auch eine Photographie der Rennfahrerin Clärenore Stinnes. - Teils Pressephotographien, etwas gewellt. Eindrucksvolle und seltene Sammlung.

Photography – A rare collection featuring some early footage of aviation in Germany. It includes rare footage from the pioneering days of aviation, including an Auto-Giro aircraft with a Siemens SH 1 engine and the world-record-holding Dornier Do X flying boat with its crew of Engel, Gundermann, Stein, and Rosel. Also documented are extraordinary and now largely forgotten aircraft types such as the asymmetrical Blohm & Voss BV 141, the Miller M1, the Junkers 86, and the "Ente," the Condor Syndicate with a Junkers aircraft in Rio de Janeiro, and the Fokker F XXXVI. The volume is supplemented by photographs of gliders from Slingsby Sailplanes and portraits of notable pilots and aviation pioneers, including Wolf Hirth, Werner Roennecke, and John W. Underwood. Of particular note are the rare historical photographs of Berlin-Tempelhof Airport (some aerial shots) from 1925-1926, which impressively illustrate the early development of this major aviation hub. Also included is a photograph of race car driver Clärenore Stinnes. - Some are press photographs, slightly wavy. An impressive and rare collection.
