St. Pétersbourg et Moscou. 19 Tafeln mit Ansichten in verschieden getönter Kreidelithographie. Moskau und St. Petersburg, Daziaro bzw. Paris, St. Petersburg und Karlsruhe, Velten, o. J. (ca. 1840). Quer-2°. Lose in Klarsichtfolien und eingelegt in Mappe d. Zt. aus mit Lederdekor blindgepr. dunkelgrünem Ln., diese mit reichlich goldgepr., mittels klassizistischem Flecht- und floralem Rankenwerk bordüriertem und mit Zweifachrahmen versehenem DTit. (Bordüre wdh. auf dem Hinterdeckel, sowie Vorsätzen aus blindgepr. gewachstem Buntpapier (Rücken am unterem Ende und Ecken aufgeplatzt, stw. beschabt).

Geography and Travel – Russia. - Extensive collection of 19 very rare, large-format tinted lithographs from different portfolios around 1840 about Saint Peterburg and Moscow. Loose in transparent foils and loosely enclosed in a splendid contemporary cloth portfolio with rich gold tooling on the front board. - The undated plates are mostly in landscape format, with parallel titles in Russian and French in the upper and lower white margins, as well as the names of the artist, lithographer, printer, publisher and numbering. - Taken from, among others, the works "Souvenir de St. Petersburg" (Daziaro, c. 1840) and Meyer's "Vues pittoresques des palais et jardins imperiaux aux environs de St. Petersbourg" (Velten, c. 1840). - Contains: 8 numbered plates by J.
