Wie auch Verschidene Tagzeiten, sambt etlichen besonderen Andachten, undt Gebett zue denen lieben Heiligen Gottes, auch fuer Lebentige undt Abgestorbene (...) Mit figural und floral bordüriertem Titelblatt, 1 ganzseitigen Zeichnung des Hl. Antonius von Padua sowie 22, meist großen Kopf- und Schlussvignetten, alles in schwarzer Tinte und mit grauer Lavierung. Neuburg a. d. Donau, 1725. 1 Bl. (Tit.), 355 (recte 357) num. Zt. auf flachem Rücken über Holzdeckeln mit reicher Deckel- und Rückenvergoldung, die Decken doppelt gerahmt mit von zweifachen Punktlinien eingefasstem Kettenwerk und Eckfleurons, der Rücken mittels Kettenwerk in sieben Fächer gegliedert, diese ausgefüllt mit Vignettenfleurons, die Spiegel ausgekleidet mit einfarbig gestrichenem Brokatpapier, mit positiv signiertes Blüten- und Blattwerk in goldfarbener Reliefierung, 2 intakte Schließen getrieben mit floralem Dekor sowie umseitigen Goldschnitt (Vordergelenk an den Bünden mit kleinen punktuellen Fehlstellen, Vorderdeckel mit eingedunkeltem Fleck, Brokatpapier in den Rändern stw. oxidiert, Goldschnitt an den Schließen berieben, etws. beschabt).

Gebetbücher

Manuskripte und Urkunden – Bemerkenswert barock illustriertes und kalligraphiertes Gebetbuch. - Duchgehend und kunstvoll mit Tinte in Feder und zusätzlicher Lavierung in Grautönen illustriert. Die oft halbseitigen Vignetten zumeist als Sträuße oder Arrangements von Früchten komponiert, mitunter auch rund um eine figurative Darstellung angeordnet, stets eingefasst von Insekten wie Schmetterlingen, Käfern und Heuschrecken. Herausstechend die ganzseitige Zeichnung des knieenden Heiligen Antonius von Padua, das Jesukind auf Wolken anbetend.- Der Text gleichmäßig mit elaborierter Kalligraphie, der Fließtext in einer Farbpalette von Hell- über Dunkelbraun bis Schwarz. Die Kapitelüberschriften, Seitenzahlen und die Überschriften einzelner Gebete sind rot hervorgehoben, jede Seite ist mit einer roten Linie eingefasst. - In den Rändern der ersten und letzten Blätter stellenweise leicht braun- und minimal stockfleckig, einige Kapitelüberschriften leicht verwischt, ansonsten ein prächtiges, ungewöhnlich groß kalligraphiertes Gebetbuch mit einnehmender Illustrierung.

Manuscripts – A remarkable prayer book with truly Baroque design, lavishly illustrated with a figural and floral bordered title page, 1 full-paged drawing of St. Anthony of Padua, and 22, mostly large, head and tail pieces, all in black ink and with additional grey wash. - The often half-page vignettes are mostly composed as bouquets or arrangements of fruit, sometimes arranged around a figurative representation, and always framed by insects such as butterflies, beetles, and grasshoppers. A standout is the full-page drawing of the kneeling Saint Anthony of Padua adoring the Christ Child on clouds. - The text is uniformly rendered in elaborate calligraphy, the body text in a color palette ranging from light to dark brown to black. The chapter headings, page numbers, and the headings of individual prayers are highlighted in red, each page is bordered with a red line frame. - The margins of the first and last leaves show some slight browning and minimal foxing, and a few chapter headings are slightly blurred, otherwise a magnificent, unusually large calligraphed prayer book with captivating illustrations.
