o.T. Blatt 7. der Mappe "Summa summarum". 1920/1962. Handdruck. Holzschnitt auf zartem Japanbütten. 35 x 29 cm (62 x 46 cm). Signiert, datiert und bezeichnet sowie mit handschriftlicher Widmung des Künstlers. - Überwiegend im Randbereich leicht stockfleckig. Insgesamt gut. Ausgezeichneter, scharfer Druck, mit breitem Rand.

Expressionismus

Online - Moderne und zeitgenössische Kunst – Äußerst seltener Handdruck auf zartem Japanbütten, vom Künstler bezeichnet: "Aus der Mappe 'Summa summarum 1920', Blatt 7, Handdruck No. 10/1962." - Im unteren Blattrand mit Widmung: "Herrn Dr. Hans Neubauer, in immerwährenden Gedenken der Bambergtage und Ihren Bemühungen darin, daß sie werden konnten, was sie geworden sind, von Johannes Molzahn, München, den 5. Juli 1964. - Die Mappe "Summa summarum" umfasst sieben Holzschnitte, welche eine Synthese aus mechanistischer Abstraktion und organischer Formensprache darstellen. Sie gilt als bedeutendes Beispiel für Molzahns Beitrag zur deutschen Expressionistischen Graphik.

Online - Modern and Contemporary Art – From the portfolio 'Summa summarum'. 1920/1962. handprint. Woodcut on delicate Japan laid paper. Signed, dated and inscribed as well as with handwritten dedication by the artist. - Slight foxing mostly in the margins. Good overall. Excellent, sharp impression, with wide margins. - Exceptionally rare handprint on delicate Japan laid paper, inscribed by the artist 'Aus der Mappe "Summa summarum 1920", Blatt 7, Handdruck No. 10/1962.' - Dedication in the lower margin. - The portfolio 'Summa summarum' includes seven woodcuts, which represent a synthesis of mechanistic abstraction and organic formal language. It is considered an important example of Molzahn's contribution to German Expressionist graphic art.
