Contemporary Art – Colour lithograph on wove paper. With the artist's signet dated and numbered as well as with the embossed artist's signet. - Slightly dusted, all in all very good and impeccably nice. Very superb, colour-fresh and contrast-rich impression of the large-format depiction, with margin, deckle edge at bottom. - One of 250 copies. - Printed by idem paris, with their embossed blindstamp. - JR is being invited in 2016 to create an artistic intervention at the Louvre. He covers Ieoh Ming Pei's iconic pyramid, the famous symbol of the museum, with an anamorphic collage, making it disappear from view. Countless Parisians and city visitors are invited to move around, find the pyramid, uncover the artist's trompe l'oeil, and ultimately reflect on the urban ensemble. Three years later, in 2019, JR once again creates an oversized collage, this time with the help of 400 volunteers. Every day, they cut, lay and roll countless strips of paper on the museum square, transforming the Cour Napoléon into a walkable and changeable installation. Through participation, themes such as presence, absence, reality and memory come to the fore.
