o.T. (Balken in Grün und Blau, OT3/97). 1997. Diptychon. Je in Künstlerleiste. - Insgesamt sehr gut.

Contemporary Art – Untitled (Green and Blue Bars, OT3/97). Diptych. Each Egg tempera on canvas. Each signed and dated on the reverse of the canvas. Additionally signed on the stretcher and with further inscriptions. Each in artist's frame. - In very fine condition. Exceptionally color-intense work, with an atmospherically structured surface and captivating depth effect. - Provenance: From the artist's estate. - The "Beams" series from the 1990s marks Angelika Riemer's return to the fundamentals of her painterly approach. Slanted beams cross the pictorial space diagonally, intersecting or ending abruptly. Her disciplined, calculated brushstrokes endow the compositions with a controlled precision, while the tense contrast between the linear beams and the velvety Parisian blue of the background shapes the visual impact of the works. Riemer's beams are not merely formal elements, but refer to an abstract vocabulary of limitation and movement that can be situated in the tradition of constructive painting.
