o.T. (Kopf). 1991. Aquarell auf zartem Bütten. 69,5 x 60,5 cm. Signiert und datiert. Verso bezeichnet in Bleistift "K.S. Kopf geneigt". - In den Ecken mit kleinen Einstichlöchlein, papierbedingt mit leichten Randläsuren sowie technikbedingt minimal gewellt sowie nach verso durchschlagend. Insgesamt gut erhalten. Kraftvolle, farbintensive Komposition.

Ostdeutsche Kunst – In charakteristischer Weise lässt Max Uhlig sein Bildmotiv aus einem Geflecht zahlloser, rhythmisch gesetzter Pinselstriche entstehen. Aus dieser vibrierenden Bewegung formt sich eine Figur, die in ihrer anonymen Erscheinung weniger ein Individuum als vielmehr das Prinzip der menschlichen Gestalt verkörpert. Die Malweise erzeugt ein spannungsreiches Wechselspiel zwischen der Auflösung der Form und der Ausbildung eines körperhaften Volumens. Farbe fungiert dabei nicht als bloßes Mittel der Flächenfüllung, sondern als strukturierendes Element, das Raum, Tiefe und Bewegung gleichermaßen definiert.

East German Art – Watercolour on delicate laid paper. Signed and dated. On verso inscribed in pencil 'K.S. Kopf geneigt'. - The corners have small pinholes, slight edge wear due to the paper, minimal curling due to the technique, and show through on the reverse. Overall in good condition. Powerful, colour-rich composition.
