o.T. (Landschaft). 1977. Tusche auf hauchzartem Japanbütten. 56,5 x 96,8 cm. Signiert und datiert. - In den Ecken mit kl. Einstichlöchlein, materialbedingt partiell schwach griffspurig, oben mit kl. blassbraunen Fleckchen. Insgesamt sehr gut erhalten. Ausdrucksstarke Komposition in dynamischer Strichführung.

Ostdeutsche Kunst – Die vorliegende Arbeit entstand während eines Arbeitsaufenthalts in Mecklenburg (1973-1984), einer Schaffensphase, in der der Künstler insbesondere die ihn umgebenden Landschaften eingehend studierte und in seinem Werk reflektierte. In der unmittelbaren Auseinandersetzung mit der topografischen und atmosphärischen Beschaffenheit seiner Umgebung verdichtet Uhlig seine Wahrnehmungen zu einem zeichnerischen Ausdruck, in dem sich vielfältige Erfahrungsdimensionen in einem einzigen Moment konzentrieren. Durch die Dynamik der vibrierenden Linien entsteht eine für den Betrachter charakteristische, sinnlich-intellektuelle Seherfahrung.

East German Art – Ink on ultra thin Japan paper. Signed and dated. - The corners with small pinholes, due to material with light handling marks in the upper motif with pale brown spot. Overall in very well preserved condition. Expressive composition with dynamic brushwork. - This work was created during a working stay in Mecklenburg (1973-1984), a creative phase in which the artist studied the surrounding landscapes in particular detail and reflected them in his work. In his immediate dialogue with the topographical and atmospheric qualities of his surroundings, Uhlig condenses his perceptions into a graphic expression in which diverse dimensions of experience are concentrated in a single moment. The dynamics of the vibrant lines create a sensory and intellectual visual experience that is characteristic for the viewer.
