o.T. (Sitzender weiblicher Akt). Um 1980. Bronze mit goldbrauner Patina. 41,5 x 24 x 23 cm (mit Plinthe). Rückseitig Monogrammiert. - In den Vertiefungen leicht angestaubt, nur vereinzelt mit schwacher Bereibung. Insgesamt sehr gut. Ausgezeichneter Guss mit fein strukturierter Oberflächenmodellierung.

Ostdeutsche Kunst – Provenienz: Direkt vom Künstler erhalten, seitdem Privatsammlung, Berlin. - Der sitzende weibliche Akt wendet das Gesicht vom Betrachter ab, ein Bein ist angewinkelt, der Oberkörper ist leicht gedreht. Die Komposition Schwabes basiert auf einer asymmetrischen Anlage, die eine klare Hauptansicht vermeidet und den Körper in eine spannungsvolle, raumbezogene Haltung überführt. Die subtile Rotation des Torsos erzeugt eine rhythmische Gliederung der Volumina und verweist auf Schwabes Interesse an der plastischen Durcharbeitung der Figur sowie den Bezug zum umgebenden Raum. Obwohl Schwabe keine Allansichtigkeit intendiert, eröffnet die Figur beim Umschreiten differenzierte Ansichten, die den Wechsel von geschlossenen und geöffneten Partien sichtbar machen. In dieser kontrollierten Spannung zwischen frontaler Gebundenheit und räumlicher Offenheit manifestiert sich Schwabes spezifischer Beitrag zur figürlichen Plastik der zweiten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts.

East German Art – Bronze with golden brown patina. Monogrammed on the reverse. - Slightly dusty in the recesses, only few spots lightly rubbed. Overall in very well preserved condition. Superb casting with finely structured surface modelling. - Provenance: Private collection, Berlin. - The seated female nude turns her face away, one leg bent, torso slightly rotated. Schwabe's asymmetrical composition avoids a frontal view, creating a subtle tension between closed and open forms. The figure engages the surrounding space, exemplifying Schwabe's precise, spatially aware approach to figurative sculpture in the second half of the 20th century.
