o.T. (Selbstportrait). 1988. Skizze. Fettkreide auf braunem Packpapier. 104 x 139,5 cm. Signiert und datiert "20.5.1988". Punktuell auf Unterlage montiert und unter Glas gerahmt. - In den Ecken mit Einstichlöchern als Spur einer ehemaligen Montierung. An den Rändern mit Knickspuren. Mit Einrissen (der Längste ca. 3,5 cm) vermehrt links unten, rechts mittig und oben mittig, diese verso vereinzelt hinterlegt und insgesamt wenig merklich. Papier teils leicht griffspurig. Farben fixiert. Unter UV keine Retuschen erkennbar. Insgesamt gut. Ausdrucksstarke, großformatige Zeichnung in leuchtenden Farben.

German Post War – Chalk sketch on brown wrapping paper. Signed and dated. Spot-mounted on underlying mat and framed under glass. - With pinholes in the corners as traces of former mounting. Traces of creasing in the margins. With tears (the longest approx. 3.5 cm) in the lower left, centre right and centre top, these sporadically backed on the verso and overall barely noticeable. Paper partly with slight handling marks. Colours fixed. No retouching recognisable under UV. Good overall. Expressive, large-format drawing in vibrant colours. - We would like to thank Mr Jörg Horn for valuable information. The work is not listed in the catalogue raisonné (studio book) Johannes Grützke. - Provenance: Private collection, Bavaria. - The sketch was created in Hamburg.
