Erotica

Modern Literature and Art – One of 200 numbered copies on handmade wove paper Van Gelder Zonen. - A captivating series of etchings on the theme of loneliness (also for couples), created with a skillful yet delicate touch by Boris Laszlo (1897-1924). - "Laszlo is a Hungarian painter who died of tuberculosis at a young age in Switzerland in 1924 (...) In invention and expression, these drawings, created with the most economical means of a great artist (here using the example of the portfolio "Erotic Fantasies"), are among the best that has been created in this field in recent times." (Quoted in Paul Englisch, Irrgarten der Erotik, Leipzig 1931, p. 248). - The plates, etched with subtle burnishing, are protected by tissue papers partially laminated to the edge of the sheet, each with a printed epigraph. - Some tissue papers creased, otherwise excellently preserved series on thick laid paper with three-sided deckle-edge.
