Erotica

(Zit. Paul Englisch, Irrgarten der Erotik, Leipzig 1931, S. 248). - Einige Tafeln an den Rändern gering gebräunt und mitunter gering fingerfleckig, insgesamt wohlerhaltenes, sammelnswertes Eroticum.

Modern Literature and Art – One of 80 copies, numbered and signed by the artist in the imprint, of this most curious map containing 10 plates with water-coloured lithographes. - A striking series of lithographed illustrations, all signed in the stone, of kissing people of both the opposite and same sexes by Boris Laszlo (1897-1924), expressing tenderness and passion, but also submission, abuse, and violence with a few skillful strokes. - "Laszlo is a Hungarian painter who died of tuberculosis at a young age in Switzerland in 1924 (...) In invention and expression, these drawings (from the portfolio "Erotic Fantasies"), created with the most economical means by a great artist, are among the best that has been created in this field in recent times." (Cf. Paul Englisch, Irrgarten der Erotik, Leipzig 1931, p. 248). - Some plates slightly browned at the edges and occasionally slightly finger-stained, overall, a well-preserved, collectible erotic work.
