Das Werk gliedert sich in 4 Kapitel, welche die Behandlung von Integralen, gewöhnlichen Brüchen, Sexagesimalbrüchen und Proportionen umfassen. - Provenienz: "South Library" der Earls of Macclesfield auf Shirburn Castle, mit dem lithographierten Ex Libris unter Verwendung des Familienwappens, sowie Besitzereinträgen darauf bzw. rundum. - Buchblock im oberen Drittel stärker wasserfleckig, Spiegel und Vorsätze in den Ecken leimschattig, erster vorderer Vorsatz lose, sonst solides Exemplar frühen und wichtigen mathematischen Traktats.

Prints before 1600, Bibles, Classics in Original Languages – Fourth edition of Finé's Arithmetic. - For references see above. - Edition published posthumously by Oronce Finé's (1494-1555), the prominent French mathematician and professor at the Collège Royal, son Jean. The work is divided into four chapters, covering integrals, ordinary fractions, sexagesimal fractions, and proportions. - Provenance: "South Library" of the Earls of Macclesfield at Shirburn Castle, with their lithographed bookplate using the family coat of arms, as well as owner's inscriptions on and around it. - The book-block is heavily water-stained in the upper third, pastedowns and endpapers have glue stains in the corners, the first front endpaper is loose, otherwise a solid copy of this early and important mathematical treatise.
