Besitzvermerk von Johannes Philipp Treiber verso auf Titelblatt. - Über 1400 kleine Reime unterteilt in fünf Bücher des schlesischen Lyrikers, Theologen und Arzt Johannes Angelus Silesius. Die meist zweizeiligen Sprüche wurden in Alexandrinern verfasst und sollen den mystischen Weg zu Gott beschreiben. 1675 wurde das Werk in einer zweiten um ein sechstes Buch erweiterten Ausgabe unter dem neuen Haupttitel "Cherubinischer Wandersmann" veröffentlicht. - Tls. wasserrandig und stockfleckig. Ränder gebräunt. Insgesamt gut erhalten.
Literature of 17th to 19th Century – With an engraved title page. Vellum with handwritten title (slightly stained and bumped). - Extremely rare first edition. - With handwritten ownership note by Johannes Philipp Treiber on the verso of the title page. - Over 1,400 short rhymes divided into five books by the Silesian lyric poet, theologian, and physician Johannes Angelus Silesius. The mostly two-line sayings were written in alexandrines and are intended to describe the mystical path to God. In 1675, the work was published in a second edition, expanded by a sixth book, under the new main title "Cherubinischer Wandersmann." - Partly waterstained and foxed. Browned edges. Overall well preserved.
