Skulptur
Literatur des 17. bis 19. Jahrhunderts – Vgl.
Literature of 17th to 19th Century – Relief sculpture made of colored wax and wire. Displayed in a gilded wooden box under glass. - In addition to his position as a priest, Caspar Bernhard Hardy was also a painter, worked as a sculptor and enameller and also manufactured physical instruments. His finely sculpted wax sculptures reflect his artistic skill with the material. Hardy created lively and detailed structures in the velvety texture of the wax, giving the figures depicted an expressive, almost natural character. - With superficial soiling, figure and staffage with fracture and larger defects. Still good overall.
