Wilhelm Kundleben: Ueber die Non-Existenz des Teufels (von 1776). Swedenborg hatte bereits 1778 gegen die Schrift von Kindleben geschrieben, nun folgte Köster unter Benutzung des Namens von Swedenborg. Der im 18. Jahrhundert noch weit verbreitete Teufels- und Dämonenglaube führte in der zweiten Hälfte des 18. Jahrhunderts zu zwei heftigen Kontroversen, die als erster (ab 1759) bzw. als zweiter Teufelsstreit (ab 1772) in die Theologiegeschichte eingegangen sind. - Etwas gebräunt bzw. leicht braunfleckig.

Wilhelm Kundleben: On the Non-Existence of the Devil (from 1776). Swedenborg had already written against Kindleben's work in 1778, and now Köster followed suit, using Swedenborg's name. The belief in the devil and demons, which was still widespread in the 18th century, led to two fierce controversies in the second half of the 18th century, which went down in theological history as the first (from 1759) and second devil controversies (from 1772). - Somewhat browned and slightly brown-spotted.
