Sammlung von 6 Radierungen mit italienischen Landschaften. Zweite Hälfte d. 17. Jh. Je Radierung auf Vergé. Je ca. 17 x 24 cm. Je in der Platte monogrammiert. Je in Paaren punktuell auf Unterlage montiert.

Gemälde, Zeichnungen u. Grafiken 16. bis 19. Jhd. – Äußerst selten. - Nagler XVII, 1-6. Nagler, Monogrammisten IV, 2145. (je unter Martin Spillenberger). - Mit diversen Sammlerstempeln verso: 3 Bll. aus der Sammlung Loening (Lugt 4807). 2 Bll. aus der Sammlung Karl Ferdinand Friedrich von Nagler (Lugt 2529) sowie der Kupferstichsammlung der Staatlichen Museen zu Berlin (Lugt 1606, mit deren Veräußerungsstempel Lugt 2482). 1 Bl. aus den Sammlungen Bernhard Keller (Lugt 384) und J. E. Wetterauer (Lugt 3870). - Neuen Recherchen zufolge handelt es sich um Arbeiten von Johann Melchior, der lange Zeit als "Martin" bezeichnet wurde, und über dessen Lebensumstände weiterhin wenig bekannt ist. - Auf die Plattenkante bzw. Darstellung beschnitten. Sammlerstempel teils recto leicht durchschlagend. Unscheinbar braunfleckig. Insgesamt sehr gut erhalten, ausgezeichnete Drucke.

Each mounted in pairs on backing. - Very rare. - With various collector's stamps verso: see above. - According to new research, these are works by Johann Melchior, who was long referred to as 'Martin' and about whose life circumstances little is still known. - Trimmed to the platemark or depiction. Collector's stamps partly slightly visible recto. Inconspicuous brownstaining. Overall in very good condition, excellent impression.
