Sammlung von vier Radierungen mit Hunde Motiven. 1818-1838. Radierung auf Velin. 8,5 x 11 cm bis 12 x 18,5 cm. Lose, eins unter Passepartout montiert. In der Platte signiert und datiert.
Alte Künstlergraphik – Als Maler und Kupferstecher des Biedermeiers konzentrierte sich Johann Adam Klein auf Genredarstellungen. Während er ab 1816 auch Gemälde produzierte, so sind es eine Druckgraphiken, die durch ihre besondere Qualität überzeugen. Ein großer Teil seiner Genreszenen zeigen Tiere, so auch die vier Radierungen. Sie zeigen die Hunde beim Entspannen, Trinken und in Begegnung mit einer Katze. - Ränder gebräunt und griffspurig, leicht stockfleckig. Radierungen unbeeinträchtigt. Insgesamt sehr gut erhaltene und kontrastreiche Radierungen.
Old Master Prints – Collection of four etchings with dog motifs. Etching on wove paper.Loose, one mounted under passepartout. Signed and dated in the plate. - As a painter and engraver of the Biedermeier period, Johann Adam Klein concentrated on genre depictions. While he also produced paintings from 1816 onwards, it is his prints that stand out for their particular quality. A large proportion of his genre scenes depict animals, as do the four etchings. They show the dogs relaxing, drinking and in an encounter with a cat. - Margins browned and handling marks, slight foxing. Etchings unimpaired. Overall very well-preserved and high-contrast etchings.
