Manuskripte und Urkunden – Schmeißer (1809 Daaden - 1879 Siegen) studierte Medizin in Gießen und Berlin und wurde 1836 prakt. Arzt in Siegen. - Mit Eintragungen von Freunden, Mitschülern u. "Hauskumpanen" u.a. aus Bonn, Wiesbaden, Wetzlar, Daaden, Kirchen u. Soest von J.G. Brühl, W. Diesterweg, Emminghaus aus Usingen, C. Gontermann aus Zeppenfeld, Ernst Wolff von Gudenberg, Moritz u. Amalie Greis, C.v. Holbach, Julius Jung von Jungental, Carl Keutgen aus Iserlohn, Gustav Macco, Friedrich Metzler aus Himmelpforten bei Arnsberg, Carl u. Daniel Nickol, Onkel Carl Friedrich Schmeisser, Friedrich Stahl aus Beilstein, Rosalie Stein etc. - Die Kupfer zeigen, tls. farbenprächtig illustriert, u.a.: Hymens Besuch bei Rosalva, Chaerea, Tifan und Dschnegis, Idris sowie Ansichten von: Burg Plesse, Gleichen, Brocken und Hirschhörner, Einfluss der Loire in Göttingen, Anlagen zu Reinhausen, Löwenburg, Hilmers Schenke in Weende u.v.m. - Insgesamt wohlerhalten.

Loose sheets mostly by Wiederhold in Göttingen with three gilt edges. In oblong contemp. half leather case with gilt fillets and gilt embossed title 'Der Freundschaf(t) geweiht' partly rubbed). - Schmeißer (1809 Daaden - 1879 Siegen) studied medicine in Giessen and Berlin and became a Doctor in Siegen in 1836. - With entries by friends, classmates and 'house mates', among others, as listed above. - The engravings show, partly colourfully illustrated, among others: Hymen's visit to Rosalva, Chaerea, Tifan and Dschnegis, Idris as well as views as listed above, and many more. - Altogether well preserved.
